Destroyed iPhone 3g

This weekend I was determined to cut the grass. I woke up at 7:50 on Saturday morning to get started. After a few quick thoughts about the pool opening next weekend, I thought I might wanna work on my tan too. So, I found some rather short soccer shorts and a tank top for my redneck outfit of choice for the lawn duties.

Everything was working out great, except that I didn't have any pockets in the shorts. Not being able to live without the iPhone, I carried it around. I put the phone down in the garage while doing the yard work.

No problem, except that I put the white iPhone on the white volvo.

Later that day, we were furniture shopping. I realized I didn't have it when I went to do some quick calculations... No problem, I just left it at home. Probably because I was suffering from heat exhaustion.

After getting home later that night, the iPhone couldn't be found. High nor low, in the garage or in the house, iPhone was missing.

Chris phoned it, but it ran straight to voicemail. At this point, I realized it wasn't connected to the network as it had sufficient power for at least 2 days of standby.

I started to have really bad thoughts..... And remembered I left it on the white volvo.

Chris had driven to Big Lots while I was in the house cooling down.

At 12:30 we started walking the route to the Big Lots, but didn't see the phone.

After church on Sunday, we drove home. Just past the split in the road at the entry of the neighborhood, I spotted the iPhone face down on the pavement.

Here's what it looked like:
